One last winter ride?
Friday night Simon and I left sleepy old Cardigan and headed for Menai which is near Bangor to stay at Johnson’s (aka mr extreme), it lashed it down the whole way pretty scary really especially as I managed to navigate us through the mountain roads right by the foot of snowdon in the dark through lashing wind and rain, I ment to send us on the other road sorry mr rees! We arrived safe and sound convinced it was going to be the wettest ride in history on Saturday. but it wasn’t by some strike of luck it was an awsome day, soggy trails cloudy skies but not a rain drop in sight! we rode the Tarw trail at Coed y Brenin, I was really excited about it I’ve wanted to ride it since I was last riding there in Feb and it didn’t disappoint… slightly slow to start with lost of up hill on double track and fire roads mixed in with a few moderate down hill sections then just after half way round the fun began! massive rock slabs, and drops, rocky rollers, fast flowing single track we totally ATE ROCKET!
